Analysis On The Principles And Construction Techniques Of Carbon Fiber Cloth Reinforcement And Failure

According to the experimental research results, the failure modes of carbon fiber cloth reinforced beams are as follows:

1. Boundary failure. When the allocation rate of carbon fiber and steel bar is appropriate, when the compressive concrete reaches the ultimate strain, the fiber in the tension zone just reaches the ultimate strength. At this time, the strength of the material is fully utilized, and the ductility of the cross section also reaches the maximum;

2. The proper reinforcement fails, the steel bar yields under tension, the concrete in the compression zone is crushed, and the carbon fiber does not reach the ultimate strain;

3. Less reinforcement failure, the tensile steel bar reaches yield first, and then the carbon fiber sheet exceeds the ultimate tensile strain and reaches the ultimate state and is stretched. At this time, the concrete in the compression zone has not yet been destroyed;

4. Super-reinforcement failure and excessive reinforcement. Before the tensile steel bar yields, the concrete in the compression zone is crushed;

5. Bonding failure. Before reaching the ultimate bearing capacity of the front section, the carbon fiber sheet and the concrete will peel off and fail.
